Amy Cheunviratsakul
 

Solicitor

Amy completed her law degree at Leicester University and then trained as a Barrister at Nottingham Trent Law School. She was called to the Bar in October 2007. She then trained with Richard Nelson and obtained dual qualification as a Solicitor on 1st February 2010.

Amy specialises in defending financial and business crime matters and subsequent confiscation proceedings. She is experienced in defending cases prosecuted by the SFO, BERR, and the CPS. She also has particular expertise in defending prosecutions brought by Trading Standards and the Post Office.

Amy also has experience of general civil litigation and regulatory matters including professional disciplinary and health and safety cases. Her work in these fields includes assisting on solicitor disciplinary matters and representing clients in respect of Coroner’s Inquests.

She is a member of the National Junior Lawyers Division, the Young Fraud Lawyers Association and the Association of Women Solicitors. She is also a Jules Thorn Scholar, having been awarded this major scholarship in 2006 for her training at the Bar.
