Divorce as a Respondent
If you have received, or been told to expect divorce papers from your husband or wife and do not intend to object to the divorce going through, we can help to complete this process with you.
Our fees to respond to an uncontested divorce are £400 + VAT. This service will include gathering all the relevant details from you, correspondence with other parties involved and preparing and filling all the necessary paperwork to ensure you are able to be divorced.
In detail fees include:
- Gathering information from you to respond to the Divorce Petition;
- Where appropriate, go through the Statement of Arrangements for Children to make sure arrangements are agreed;
- Return all forms to the court and your husband or wife, to say you accept a divorce should be granted;
- Notify you of the date that a District Judge will check the paperwork to confirm whether your husband or wife has grounds for the divorce;
- Notify you of your Decree Absolute pronouncement.
If any additional costs are likely to be incurred as a result of unforeseen circumstances that arise during the process, we will not proceed without agreeing those costs with you before any additional work is undertaken and provide you with a best estimate as to those additional costs.
